Top Blue Ridge Mountains Towns Near Boone NC

Boone North Carolina is central to all the High Country has to offer and is the #1 Cabin Rental destination with 100's of rentals to choose from. Up to 4000 foot elevations with the Blue Ridge Parkway running through it. You cannot go wrong choosing a Vacation Rental in Boone NC, but there are other nearby towns that will fit any party size and budget.

Blowing Rock North Carolina is only 5 miles from Boone NC and is an affluent area, however, the town tends to restrict short-term rentals "in-town" but there are plenty of rentals in the outskirts of the town of Blowing Rock. With a quaint downtown full of nice restaurants and shops, you will most certainly visit Blowing Rock on your trip, but you can get a lot more bang for the buck outside of Blowing Rock!

Banner Elk is only about a 15 minute drive from downtown Boone and is a four seasons town and close to Sugar Mountain and Beech Mountain, the major ski areas in the High Country. Here you can find plenty of vacation rentals in all shapes and sizes, especially luxury cabin rentals in highly amenitized communities like The Lodges at Eagles Nest, an incredible community loaded with amenities, but a community still in a very natural state. Banner Elk is a foodie's delight with plenty of upscale restaurants and a nightlife to boot!

Valle Crucis has a great location between Boone and Banner Elk off Hwy 105, thus closer to the ski slopes, Hawksnest for snowtubing and ziplining than the town of Boone..With a laid back atmosphere, there are plenty of log cabin rentals to choose from in Valle Crucis.

Sugar Grove is a small town, nearby to Boone (can be less than 10 minutes to downtown Boone). Peace and quiet and a gem of an area where everyone knowseveryone, like Cheers. Typically easy access, nice winding roads, near Hwy 105. Great family farms and a great location for streams, fishing, privacy and to be well outside of the hustle and bustle of Boone NC.

Todd and Fleetwood NC are 10-20+ minutes from downtown Boone NC, often just a short drive up the Blue Ridge Parkway, great central locations and often overlooked only because they do not have the popular names of Boone and Blowing Rock. Nice neighborhoods, plenty of accessibility to the New River and still some huge views from ridgetops. Because the land is less expensive in Ashe County, you will tend to find smaller and cheap cabin rentals near Boone NC. The community of Fleetwood Falls has about 10 rentals, all budget friendly, nice, clean, quaint and access to he Parkway, the New River and a community lake.

The morale of the story is that the High Country is NOT a huge place. Find the right cabin for you in the following towns and you will be in the middle of all the High Country has to offer.
